Friday Briefing
Your Best Friend Might Be Your Biggest Hater… Let’s Talk About It
This week on Friday Briefing with Hannah and Nadiya, we’re catching up as Ramadan comes to an end (how did the month go so fast?!). We talk about the last 10 nights, both of us getting sick at the worst possible time, and the unexpected rise of the Matcha Boys calm down ladies!
In this week’s briefing we also address some online commotion, react to clips from Blue Therapy, and read a listener message from Ethan.
Then we get into the real conversation: jealousy in friendships. After seeing a viral TikTok about a girl openly talking about hating her friend, we unpack the uncomfortable truth that sometimes the people closest to you might not actually want the best for you.
In today’s Briefing Box we’re discussing why not every long-term friend is someone you should keep close. From friends who repeat your private conversations, to people who constantly assume the worst about others, to being called “too religious” for trying to guide someone away from bad behaviour we’ve seen it all.
Plus we share a dilemma from a listener and give our honest advice.
Because sometimes the hardest lesson to learn is this:
some friendships are meant for a season, not a lifetime.
