Freebird: The Ashley Freeman story is the story of Ashley's battle with addiction over the last twenty years.  Episode 6: Rock BottomBefore anyone can begin the rise out of addiction they have to hit THEIR rock bottom. While many can never claw their way back from rock bottom, Ashley finally sees herself as totally stripped down.  A great quote that I have alwasy loved is, “Never be afraid to fall apart.  It presents an opportunity to rebuild yourself the way you wish you’d been all along.”  This quote exemplifies Ashleys battle and needing to completely fall apart and realize she coudn’t self medicate, she couldn’t run anymore she was going to have to rebuild yourself.During this episode Ashley discusses hitting her bottom before her last arrest.  Ashley discusses the numerous times she would overdose and wake up covered in cold water and had just been narcaned.  Ashley also details her last arrest and is looking at an initial offer of 25 years in prison. Freebird: The Ashley Freeman story is the story of Ashley's battle with addiction over the last twenty years.  Episode 5: My WayPeople who are stubborn many times can't see the failure in their own plans.  They believe that even if “their way” isn’t the right way for everyone else, it’s the best for them and they know how to handle things.
