Fostering Change

Comfort Cases founder Rob Scheer hosts this inspiring show about how communities can come together to bring dignity and hope to children in the foster care system. Guests will include former youth in foster care, foster parents, celebrities touched by the foster care system, child welfare advocates, and everyday people working to improve the lives of kids in care. Rob Scheer

Rob Scheer is the father of five children from the foster care system who arrived at his home with their belongings in trash bags – just like Rob did as a child in Foster Care more than 30 years ago. In 2013, the Scheer family founded Comfort Cases, with the mission of providing hope & dignity to youth in foster care, by providing them with backpacks full of new clothes, hygiene kits and more. To date, Comfort Cases has given out more than 150,000 comfort cases. Rob published his memoir, A Forever Family: Fostering Change One Child at a Time.
