Join me as we profile the snake-eating lone gunman who went to Canberra to shoot Harold Holt dead in front of Parliament House. Bonus: he did this when Australia was in the midst of a rowdy and violent federal election – and the US mid-terms had just reshaped American politics, setting the scene for further assassinations.Part Two – Beyond Conspiracy – will be available early and ad-free for Apple and Patreon supporters.Patreon: patreon.com/forgottenaustraliaApple: apple.co/forgottenaustraliaCheck out my other podcast – Australian Murder – wherever you get your audio.Forgotten Australia and Australian Murder are created and hosted by Michael Adams, author of the acclaimed true crime books The Murder Squad, Hanging Ned Kelly and They'll Never Hold Me.
