  • 29. COVENTRY [A] the verdict ..... decent performance that again reaps no reward

    01:13:04||Season 6, Ep. 29
    City came away with nothing from the CBS Arena and were left to reflect on a disallowed goal that with VAR probably would have stood, a defensive lapse which cost what proved to be the winning goal and a goalkeeper producing a string of saves to deny the point they deserved,A tough game home to inform Boro next weekend is the curtain raiser to a sequence of 5 games in 16 days which will define City's season and, in the panel's view, influence transfer window activity.

  • 28. LEICESTER CITY [H] the verdict ..... a game of two halves, it felt like a win!

    01:11:08||Season 6, Ep. 28
    Two down at half-time City fought back to level in an entertaining game at Ashton Gate.City were poor in the opening 45 minutes and Struber must have given them a rollicking at half time as they scored a minute after the restart which signalled a level of performance as good as anything we have seen this season.With 20 games gone we're sat in 10th but it is such a congested league we have every chances of going into the new year in the play off spots if we can achieve a level of consistency.
  • 27. MILLWALL [H] the verdict ..... a game we should have won before it all kicked off at 4.55!

    01:20:38||Season 5, Ep. 27
    DaveP is joined by Neil, Dave & Mark in assessing City's defeat against the Lions at Ashton GateYes, City played some good football, had some great chances to level after Millwall's early second half goal and had a goal chalked off in injury time for a questionable offside decision but the fact is we've only won two of the last 7.The panel were split in their opinion of the ructions at the final whistle. One could argue tensions were high after the disallowed goal and Knight waded into Millwall manager Alex Neill after he had disrespected Gerhard Struber.. Whilst everyone else getting involved shows the spirit of togetherness within the squad the counter is that a higher level of self discipline ought to have been on show.
  • 26. PORTSMOUTH [A] the verdict ..... Mehmeti once again showing his worth

    01:12:27||Season 5, Ep. 26
    City played their best football for a while in the first half at Fratton Park and duly led thanks to a wonderfully crafted team goal finished off my Anis Mehmeti.A much better display then against Wrexham but off the pace in the second half and McCrorie just does not look fit.6 matches in 24 days starting next weekend against Millwall will define our season.Dave Tovey hosts the analysis with Mark, Tom & Dave P
  • 25. WREXHAM [A] the verdict ..... atrocious no goal decision on a night to forget

    01:06:58||Season 5, Ep. 25
    A disappointing night as City stumbled to defeat and leaves us with only one win in our last 5 games. Hardly play off form and in a congested league table despite being in 7th position we are only 4 points off 17th.We never got started and when Broadhead put the home team in front on 16 minutes it was no more than they deserved. City played themselves back into the game and if McCrorie's goal had been allowed to stand just before the break it might have been a different outcome as they stated the second period with some purpose.Once Wrexham scored their 2nd direct [as good as] from a corner with 74 mins on the clock it was game over as City didn't even press in search of a consolation goal.DaveP discusses the action with Ant Banks and Toveys Dave & Mark
  • 24. SWANSEA [H] the verdict .... Mehmeti the architect of victory

    01:02:18||Season 5, Ep. 24
    Anis Mehmeti provided the assist for all the goals in a solid 3-0 victory over Swansea. Such a feat in one game by a single player had not been achieved in the past 10 years and it only served to prove what a loss he will be if he walks away for nothing in the summer having refused to sign the contract offer that has been on the table for months - surely a revised document will be tabled to him sooner rather than later.City were always in command without being in full control but the win consolidates their play off position and was a welcome boost with two away games coming in the next week.DaveP discusses the action with Dave Tovey and Tom from The Robins Nest.
  • 23. WATFORD [A] the verdict ..... fighting spirit secures a point

    01:15:48||Season 6, Ep. 23
    City proved the doomsayers wrong as they emerged from Watford with a well deserved point.When the Hornets scored after 6 minutes a heavy defeat was on the cards in the eyes of most City fans but the players responded to a man and a Twine free kick special was enough to send the fans back down the M4 in a happy mood.Time for a well earned break before an even more testing sequence of fixtures.DaveP is joined by Neil Sutton, Ant Banks & Dave Tovey
