  • 3. Healing Deeper Through Movement and Meditation with Edie Gudaitis

    51:04
Healing Deeper Through Movement and Meditation with Edie Gudaitis   In this episode, Edie and I dive deeper into her journey of finding compassion, love and healing through her love of movement and meditation.    Edie bravely shares her bouts with her own health challenges, being the rock of her family through her Sister’s illness and the loss of her Mother. Listening to her story, I am struck with awe of the providence of God as she is artfully prepared to face each challenge and skillfully extracts the wisdom needed to flourish on the other side.  Please meet Edie Gudaitis. Edie helps individuals and organizations reduce stress + avoid burnout through the practices of Yoga, Meditation, and Mindfulness.   Having worked in the Corporate world, she understands the pressure, stress, long hours, and toll that long periods of sitting can have on the body.   Sciatica, low back pain, and brain fog became the norm for her. Paired with a weakened immune system, they all signaled to her that she was burnt out and needed to hit pause. she quickly realized, that though she enjoyed her field of work, something didn’t feel quite right. Something felt forced and definitely missing.   In 2018 she got the courage to make a big shift. She swapped her Corporate city life for her entrepreneur dream and moved to the countryside. As she was about to go South for a Yoga Teacher Training, her life took a big turn. Her mom was diagnosed with a rare, fatal disease in January 2019 and died 8 weeks later. Death really puts life – and LOVE – what matters THE MOST – into perspective. After a few months processing the aftershock of her passing, she completed her Yoga Teacher Training. Since the fall of 2019, I’ve completed additional Yoga courses + training, Meditation trainings, Coaching programs, grief workshops and more! Now she share the things she is MOST passionate about – Yoga, Meditation + Mindfulness – with clients all over the world.   The focus of her work is Mindfulness Coaching + Workplace Wellness. Having experienced and bounced back from burnout, she knows the transformative power that Mindfulness, Yoga and Meditation can have on one’s health and personal + career success.   To learn more about Mindfulness Coaching, please see the “Mindfulness Coaching” page. • 2. Coming Into Alignment Through Self-Acceptance

    32:02
In this episode, journey with me as I share my learnings, insights, and revelations of coming into divine alignment through accepting all the parts of me. This episode is my raw journey between Nov 2021 - Mar 2022, as I came into understanding my power and owning it! Life gets messy and even walking in faith doesn't mean that all things will make sense or go according to your plans. Here's what I found, you need faith to do impossible-seeming things! And that is whatever seems impossible to you. It could be passing your final exam, starting a new business, or following a calling in your life to write a novel. What's key is understanding that whatever goal you want to achieve or feeling you want to experience, right now seems impossible to a  part of you because of your current and past experiences and beliefs. That's why it's scary for you to do it.  Changing my life from hopeless to hopeful without material or tangible evidence was impossible to believe for me before I did it. It has been one of the hardest things I have done and continue to do. Welcome to Season 2!  Thank you for continuing this journey with me!  I am greatly apprecicative💕I have grown and trust that you have too. So I believe this season will meet us exactly where we are and when we need it most. #ItsHisTiming For those who are joining for the first time, thank you for joining, and welcome! Let me introduce myself to you, I am Rafiat Ahmed. I am a Restorative Purpose Coach and I help women break the cycle of over-achieving and burnout and find peace in success so that they can be the leaders that they are destined to be.  I am also passionate about helping us create the life and world that we desire to live in by sharing that wisdom that comes from getting to know ourselves and The Creator, and finding out how to love and trust ourselves and the process. I love learning from our stories as individuals and the collective. It helps me along my journey, 'cause we all going through it!😅 (So, take a deep breath...) Life is meant to be enjoyed. We all deserve to feel at peace and free. Free to make the best choices for ourselves, to love and enjoy what we do, and live the quality of life that we seek as well as not feeling shame or guilt about it. The truth is getting to the life that you want means going through experiences and situations that you may not understand or like but believing (even if it's just the smallest part of you) that maybe the impossible is possible! That is the faith you need to take you from where you are to where you want to be... and trust...  you already have it, within you. Now it's time to let her out! Ahhh so, enjoy the episode and if you want to connect further for help on your journey here are a few ways: Send me an email with your questions, insights, confirmations, or learnings after listening in @ followyourfirstpodcast@gmail.com - I want to know your story as well. Let's dive deeper and I'll assist you on the journey to co-creating the life you want, as a private coaching client. It's a 6 month spiritual and personal development program that will help you to live and lead in love. To see if we're a good fit, book a Clarity Call.  Live Life Fearlessly,  Rafiat
  • 1. Finding Grace Through Trusting in God with Sherlette Rutherford

    49:06
Welcome to season 2 of Follow Your First Mind Podcast!  Trust is one of the most important pillars of any relationship. Without trust, it is hard to form deep connections, and intimacy, as well as to be able to believe in the reliability of the person you are in a relationship with.   That’s how I have learned to perceive my relationship with God. It’s a cumulative process of various experiences of building trust, and intimacy through discovering His character and mine.  In this episode, Sherlette and I have a great conversation about how trusting God in everyday experiences can help you to live more at peace and walk in the purpose divinely ordained for you through your intuition.  It’s ok to ask Him questions, to ask yourself and those that you do trust.  And, it’s definitely ok to not know what you're doing, all of the time. 🚨Spoiler Alert🚨: No one knows what they are doing (100% of the time)! The truth is we cannot be certain about a decision until after it’s made. As humans, we can only truly look back in hindsight and hope and plan for our future using that information. With the understanding that there will always be factors outside of our control. Those things I call the God stuff! Lol, Let God be God.  I’m excited to introduce to you, Sherlette Rutherford. Sherlette is a mother, daughter, sister, friend, and most importantly a child of the Most High God.  She is a woman after God's own heart.  She strives to see the fruits of the spirit manifested in her life.  She believes in leading by example; therefore, her lifestyle reflects that of the living word of God.  Her mandate is to edify, empower and encourage the body of Christ through the simplification of the Word of God. During her daily devotionals, she usually writes the revelations received from God but would only share them with a few friends.  The word of God is designed to enlighten everyone and not just a selected few. Jesus commissioned us to go into the world and make disciples.  Therefore, through this ministry, she desires to see souls transformed by the grace of God. Join her on this great mission to inspire change! Connect with her here
  • 10. Playing into your Intuition with Kyree Muhammad

    16:53
Before the world told us who we were, we knew! We knew that we loved to hang out with our friends, whether we didn't or did like school. We loved to play and to just BE! While we were young we didn't concern ourselves too much with the opinions of others, we just lived our lives in the present.  Kyree, my nephew, is the #Wise9YearOld that often keeps us on our toes and literally generates so much joy. In 2020, I received the privilege of getting to know my nephew all over again! As much as I thought I would be teaching him, he is teaching me.  In this conversation with Kyree Muhammad, we dove into why adults may have a harder time listening to our intuition and why children can tap in with ease and fun!     Connect with me by subscribing to your favorite podcast streaming platform!
