MISSOURI PREVIEW / Florida Gators LIVE 96

•

Tyler and Max make up for the missed postgame show with a full debrief on Florida's 52-28 win over No. 4 Ole Miss, a 13-spot leap to No. 8, and the loudest Swamp either of them has ever heard. The defense wasn't perfect (400-plus yards, six explosives), but it got off the field when it mattered, from Aaron Chiles' fourth-down stop to Jayden Woods' strip-sack and Myles Graham's recovery that flipped the game for good. Jadan Baugh added three more touchdowns, Duke Clark might have been the best player on the field, and the offensive line Phil Trautwein patched together is suddenly a strength. The metrics now say Florida has the best offense in the country, and the hosts walk through why a playoff spot is realistic even with losses to Georgia and Texas: just win the games you're favored in.

On the recruiting trail, the Ole Miss win paid off immediately with two 2028 commits: four-star safety Sion Smith out of Blountstown and borderline five-star offensive lineman Samuel Bailey from Jon Sumrall's hometown of Huntsville, chosen over Alabama, Georgia, LSU, Ohio State and Texas A&M. The Gators are also in a strong early position with Bryson Wright, the Jacksonville receiver ranked No. 1 in the entire 2028 class.

Then it's on to Missouri, where Florida is a 4.5-point road favorite Saturday at 3:30 on ABC. The guys break down Austin Simmons' zero-interception stat line against his turnover-worthy plays, a run game missing Ahmad Hardy, a receiver duo in Kaden Lee and Donovan Olugbode doing all the damage, a breakout pass rusher in Dayton Hopkins, and a secondary that's the strength of the Tigers' defense. The problem for Mizzou: nobody has stopped Jadan Baugh, and this run defense isn't built to. Both hosts had this pegged as a loss in August. Both have changed their minds. Tyler picks Florida 38-28; Max has it 37-27. The availability report drops live mid-show (Vernell Brown III and Bailey Stockton questionable, Eric Singleton a full go).

They close with quick hits on the rest of the SEC slate (Alabama at Mississippi State, Georgia-Vandy, Tennessee-Auburn, a Shane Beamer hot-seat watch in Kentucky-South Carolina, Arkansas-Texas A&M), the Dante Moore hit, and why Friday night's Pitt-Virginia Tech and Penn State-Northwestern games are worth your time.
