Expectations VS Reality

Season 4, Ep. 1

EXPECTATIONS VS REALITY

The entire episodes talk about how we as consumers often want quick fixes and don't understand the reasons why we need to put in effort and consistency for results to show. Without pure consistency and of course doing the right thing, no matter how much of what we do will not be beneficial to you.

It is important to note that the allied health professionals are there for a reason. They are around so as to help you alleviate issues ranging from physical, mental, nutritional, psychological etc. The list goes on. Therefore, why would we be reliant on Google as our answer if we are unsure how to fix these problems. Remember in the perspective of health and wellness.

We need to stop comparing ourselves to social media before/after, how much weight someone has lost, how people manage their stress etc. Everyone is uniquely different, and therefore takes understanding this to be able to help you. Without a clear path to breaking down this issues and finding root causes, we will often either be stuck or reverse back into our old self or bounce back even harder.

  • 3. Warming Up in Dance

    09:55
Often times a very touchy and debatable topic. We often hear many dance teachers saying they know what they are doing so don't teach me but yet we see so much injuries occurring due to warm ups not being sufficient or effective for the dancers. This episode is a sharing for our dance listeners that need to know this. Warming up doesn't mean holding a few stretches and get right onto the dance floor and begin dancing. There is a method to the madness in warming up and emphasis should be placed on it. Have a listen to this episode and do share it with your friends!Find us on Instagram:The Posture Lab - https://www.instagram.com/theposturelab.sg/Emile - https://www.instagram.com/emiledumont/FACEBOOKhttps://www.facebook.com/theposturelab.sg/EMAILFor business enquiries, email us directly at hello@theposturelab.sgVISIT OUR WEBSITE http://theposturelab.sg/ADDRESS31a Kreta Ayer RoadSingapore 088998Disclaimer: All videos were recorded, edited and produced by The Posture Lab.
  • 2. 4 Years On!

    15:25
HOW AFRAID ARE YOU OF SHARING ABOUT FAILURE & LESSONS?Perhaps, this podcast will help you to be more motivated to fail and learn. I (Emile) has had his fair share of failures and lessons throughout the 4 years of running a fitness and wellness business. While, to some it may look like a dying businesses or the entirety of the industry seems to be focused on the hyped up version of fitness. There are many opportunities if we look clearly enough but before we do that, how sure are we about our own business?Do we know our vision clearly? Why are we starting this business for?Is the business a Founder oriented business?Have we experienced failures before? Many more questions. But through that, we begin to see the true growth potential because without failing we don't learn. Without learning, we don't have new ideas or better ways of doing things. Thus, I dare you to go out and do it and learn to fail to succeed!Find us on Instagram:The Posture Lab - https://www.instagram.com/theposturelab.sg/Emile - https://www.instagram.com/emiledumont/FACEBOOKhttps://www.facebook.com/theposturelab.sg/EMAILFor business enquiries, email us directly at hello@theposturelab.sgVISIT OUR WEBSITE http://theposturelab.sg/ADDRESSSCAPE, 2 Orchard Link #02-15 (MOVING SOON)Singapore 237978Disclaimer: All videos were recorded, edited and produced by The Posture Lab.

You may agree to disagree or like to discuss with us how you think the system can be better! This episode is an honest take on sports, with athletes we shall not name for confidentiality purposes! • 5. Interview with Andrea, Founder of The Clean Addicts.

    18:46
Raw Chef Andrea Lee is the ultimate Addict to clean treats! The Clean Addicts – Wholefoods Bakery started with Andrea’s Mum who suffered from clogged arteries and had to be sent to the hospital for surgery. Seeing her fragile state, this incident caused her to switch to a healthier lifestyle overnight. She believes how food can be our medicine, but it wasn't an easy feat.It was difficult to compromise her love for desserts! Andrea always had a hard time finding healthier alternatives that contain minimal ingredients, and no preservatives or refined sugars in Singapore. After countless of late night experimentations, she managed to produce wholesome and guilt-free versions of brownies and cakes that her family and friends can't resist! She uses real whole foods for her desserts, such as nuts, beans, rolled oats and even sweet potatoes that come with a myriad of health benefits that are filling and natural sweeteners like dates and stevia that are low on the Glycemic Index. With Clean Addicts’ cakes, you can say goodbye to crazy sugar rushes from conventional cakes which contain cups and cups of icing sugar!Andrea went on to exploring more about Raw food and became obsessed. She is a certified Raw Food Chef with certifications from leading vegan culinary school — Matthew Kenney Culinary Academy and Sayuri Healing Foods. She specialises in fermented foods and “cheesecakes" made with no cheese or added sugars! She also loves experimenting with cake flavours (watch out for our seasonal flavours) and feeding her loved ones with healthy desserts that she whips up.Through The Clean Addicts, Andrea strives to share that healthful treats can be tasty and DO NOT have to taste like cardboard. Clean eating with natural wholefoods can be addictive and good for the body!Eat and Feel Good with us. IS THERE REALLY A DIFFERENCE BETWEEN ICE AND WARM BATHES?Yes there is! Imagine showering in freezing cold and very warm water. The differences are huge! If that is the case then you should know that these differences can also be applied to within your body system. The body not only reacts on the surface but under your skin as well.By understanding the mechanisms of each. You'll have a better understanding of what works best for you and why you should use it. You should not take everything seen online or on Google as 100% right!
