FILMHOUNDS Film Podcast
Sophie Von Haselberg - on Give Me Pity
Sophie Von Haselberg is smart and funny. This showcases itself in our discussion about her latest film Give Me Pity, out in theaters on 10 November. Sophie, a Yale Drama graduate, stars as lead Sissy St. Clair in what is a very avant-garde, unique film. Directed brilliantly by Amanda Kramer, the premise is that it is a one-woman Saturday night comedy special. With singing, dancing and some stand up, it is almost vaudeville in its approach. As one watches the film, it takes the viewer down unexpected twists and turns. Things are not quite what they seem and you as the viewer are left wondering what exactly is going on. It is a great movie, and certainly one that is not your run of the mill Hollywood films. Here Jordan Cracknell sits down with Sophie (Daughter of Bette Midler) to discuss her role.
