Fanedits 'R Us

After trying to watch all of the seperate BTS and Making-Of material for the film, and being disappointed on how spread out it all is, across different overlapping featurettes, I wanted to make a singular, definitive account of the tumultuous production on Star Trek: The Motion Picture.In this episode, I try to tackle how I created this fanedited documentary, and the challenges that arose from it.

In this episode, I dive into Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol - The Aries Alternate Edition. this edit restores over 15 minutes of deleted and alternate scenes to one of the most beloved entries in the series. I talk about the unfilmed and cut “snow battle” opening sequence, more villain backstory, and what works, what doesn’t, and why these scenes were likely cut.

Bobson Dugnutt introduces Spinning the Ultimate Web, a fanedited documentary on the making of Sam Raimi's Spider-Man. Rebuilding behind-the-scenes footage from the ground up, the edit weaves rare interviews, commentary, and featurettes into a fresh, streamlined experience. Bobson talks about making the all-new edit from scratch, using the existing featurettes as raw material and crafting it into a fresh new look at the New York of 2002 from the perspective of the web-head. 

After extending a 3 hour documentary to over 4 hours, Bobson takes to the mic to talk all about the inner workings of the original 1979 Alien film, and the process behind doing something crazy like that.

Looking back at the film that started and ended director Tony Kaye's career, and trying to recreate what his vision may of been, as based on the a workprint of the film. Probably some repeated stuff in here, but hey that's showbiz.

Taking it back to the first film in the MCU, with The Jericho TV Composite! Using a rare TV extended cut, this edit recreates it in HD! Talking the first Iron Man, the wider MCU, a lost commentary track and more in this episode!

To celebrate Disney pulling out of the Australian home media market, and that the last release will be the latest MCU film, Guardians of the Galaxy: Volume 3! Breaking down all the new humour added to the film, new finished VFX and the old unfinished stuff too!
