This week I sat down with Tom Cronin, and this one goes deep in the best possible way.Tom spent 26 years as a broker in finance. On paper he was successful. In reality he was drowning. He is now a meditation teacher, transformation coach, author of six books, creator of The Portal film and documentary, and founder of The Stillness Project, a global movement on a mission to inspire one billion people to sit in stillness daily. This is a conversation about what happens when you stop running from your inner voice and start listening to it. 55:26||Season 1, Ep. 271
I loved this one. Alexis has spent over a decade inside marketing, media and PR, so she knows exactly how our attention gets engineered. And she’s honest enough to call herself a tech addict too. Her new book Real: Reconnecting to Yourself in a World of Likes and Lies is three years in the making, and it’s all about how social media messes with who we think we are, and how to take that back. If you’ve ever closed an app feeling worse about yourself, this one’s for you.In this episode:How attention is designed and what it does to our nervous systemWhat happens to your identity when it’s built on likesAlexis’s own relationship with her phoneWhat social media means for kids and how parents can helpWhether being “authentic” online is just another performanceSimple ways to reconnect with the real youConnect with AlexisReal (the book)https://www.amazon.com.au/Real-Alexis-Zahner/dp/1394445695Instagramhttps://www.instagram.com/alexis_laine_zahner/LinkedInhttps://www.linkedin.com/in/alexiszahner/Connect with CooperWorkshop and Speaking Enquiries https://form.typeform.com/to/DSPSnvEH1% Good Club Book https://booktopia.kh4ffx.net/e1xrkr https://amzn.to/46ve1i2Instagram https://www.instagram.com/cooperchapman/TikTok https://www.tiktok.com/@cooperchapman_LinkedIn https://www.linkedin.com/in/cooper-chapman-08a278151/The Good Human Factory Instagram https://www.instagram.com/thegoodhumanfactory/The Good Human Factory https://www.thegoodhumanfactory.comTHE GOOD HUMAN FACTORY™️ 2020
