IVF Journey to Baby No3 - Evanne Ní Chuillinn

Season 6, Ep. 5

In this week’s episode our host Sinead is joined by RTE sports broadcaster and soon to be mother of 3 Evanne Ní Chuillinn to talk about secondary infertility, the mental and physical battle of trying to conceive and the relief when IVF is the answer.

After 3 years of trying to conceive her baby, Evanne shares what it took to get here, about the monthly cycle of hope and despair, the side effects of Clomid and why she was so hesitant to try IVF - the treatment that in the end, worked.

This episode is a huge step forward for how we talk about fertility.

How as women we need to share our stories so that we can learn about where and how to seek the right help and to dispel the myth that behind every baby announcement there was an easy conception, because for many of us there’s a tougher story of trying to conceive.
