The Kid That Looked At Life With Passion In His Eyes

Ep. 81

Hearing that something can't be done because no one did it before has two different effects on people; they will either try it anyway or give up. Some will be driven by their imagination and desire to do something remarkable; others will be obedient and never defy the boundaries put in front of them.

In today's show, I had an uplifting conversation with Daxton Edwards, leading singer of In The Stars, actor and voiceover artist, martial artist, youth mentor, martial art coach, and teacher. We talked about his life growing up in a small town in Georgia, where his appetite for adventures and exploring the world was seen as something unusual and perhaps out of place. We also talked about his fears and the positive impact wise words can have on a child's life.

Daxton gave his thoughts on super achievers, the importance of imagination in a kid's life, and achieving through manifesting. He shared his mantra for the moments he feels tired, the relevance of self-talking, and how often he does it.

Tune in and receive some of Daxton's overachiever energy.

Some Questions I Ask:

  • Have you always been this upbeat and positive? (2:22)
  • People around us want to keep us in a little box and prevent us from doing what we want to do. Did that factor into moving away as you got older? (8:01)
  • When did you figure out that you could sing? (10:35)
  • Do you realize the impact you're having on the kids that you're teaching today? (18:02)
  • You have your hands full between coaching the kids, working with the band, working on camera, and behind the scenes; how do you manage all of it? (22:59)
  • What is your purpose? If you have to boil it down to one sentence? (26:41)
  • I want you to talk to me a little bit about your stance on achieving through manifesting (31:35)

In This Episode, You Will Learn:

  • The process of recapturing childhood's happiness (3:54)
  • Ups and downs of growing up in the countryside (5:16)
  • Depending on how bad we want something, we will beat our fears to get it (8:56)
  • The power of having passion in our eyes (12:45)
  • The difference between wanting and choosing something (32:16)
  • How vital is self-talk in our lives (38:02)
