EndureFaith - Episode 10: Finding Peace in the Middle of a Busy Mind

Season 2, Ep. 10

In this episode, I share a quiet moment from an ordinary morning that led me to notice how quickly life can start to feel overwhelming, even before the day has fully begun. Not because of one big thing, but because of many small things adding up.

This is a reflection on that familiar feeling of being pulled in different directions, and how easy it is to move through the day without ever really arriving in it.

I talk about learning, slowly and imperfectly, to pause… to take a breath… and to come back to where I actually am, even if only for a few seconds at a time.

This episode also touches on how faith meets us in these small, everyday moments. Through simple, honest pauses and the invitation found in Matthew 11:28 and John 14:27, I explore what it can look like to bring a busy mind and a tired heart to Jesus, just as it is.

Not as a way to escape the noise, but as a way to find peace within it.

If your days have been feeling full, rushed, or slightly overwhelming, this is a gentle space to slow down for a moment, and remember that peace might be closer than it seems.

  • 15. EndureFaith - Episode 15: Peace in the Open

    08:46||Season 2, Ep. 15
    In this episode of EndureFaith, Bjørn-Ivar reflects on a quiet paddle on a forest lake, where the sound of birds and the stillness of the water helped the stress of daily life begin to settle.Close to the water, birds sat over their nests, carefully protecting the life beneath them, even as predators circled above. That simple picture became a reflection on peace, because life does not always become completely safe before it can be held, protected, and given room to grow.With Jesus’ words in John 14:27 and the image of refuge in Psalm 91:4, this episode considers a peace that is not dependent on everything difficult disappearing. Sometimes peace is the quiet nearness of God in the middle of what still feels uncertain, exposed, or unresolved.

Some challenges feel like restoration work inside us, slow, tiring, and unfinished, but not without meaning. With Romans 5:3–4 as a gentle grounding, this episode looks at how suffering can produce endurance, character, and hope, not through pressure or forced strength, but through the steady presence of God.This is a quiet and honest episode about tiredness, growth, faith, and the reassurance that even when the work is still heavy, we are not alone in it.

    This episode begins with a simple morning where nothing is clearly wrong, yet something feels a little heavy in the background.From that starting point, the conversation gently reflects on how these kinds of quiet, unexplainable feelings show up from time to time, and how we often respond by filling the space or trying to move past them quickly. There is an honest look at how the mind carries small things over time, and how constant input can make it harder to notice what is actually going on beneath the surface.The episode stays close to everyday experience, focusing on the value of slowing down, allowing space, and not needing to fix every feeling right away. Sometimes a few quiet moments are enough to soften what feels heavy and bring a sense of steadiness back.It closes with a grounded faith perspective, where God’s presence is not dependent on how we feel. Even on days that feel unclear or a bit heavy, there is still an invitation to rest, to breathe, and to trust that we are not carrying it alone.

    In this episode I share a simple moment from a recent doctor’s visit. The waiting room was full, yet the room felt strangely quiet as almost everyone looked down at their phones.That small observation opened a gentle reflection about attention, presence, and how constant digital input may quietly shape our minds and mental healthThe episode slowly moves from that waiting room moment into a reflection on stillness, attention, and the steady rest that Jesus speaks about in Scripture. 08:03||Season 2, Ep. 8
    On an ordinary dog walk, fresh snow suddenly makes invisible paths visible. What was once only sensed can now be seen. This episode gently reflects on how much of life, faith, and endurance unfolds the same way — moving forward without full clarity, trusting presence over proof, and letting the next step be enough. A calm, grounded conversation about slowing down, easing mental pressure, and discovering that guidance often becomes clear only in hindsight. Rooted in lived faith and quiet trust in Jesus, this episode offers reassurance for anyone walking a path that feels unseen right now.
  • 7. EndureFaith - Episode 7: When Life Is Too Full to Carry Everything

    08:28||Season 2, Ep. 7
    In this episode, I share a simple but revealing story about how easily things slip when life becomes mentally crowded. It’s a reflection on overload, responsibility, and the kind of exhaustion that doesn’t come from training alone. For endurance athletes and runners—especially those balancing work, family, and long-term health—this is a conversation about capacity, consistency, and learning to respect limits before they turn into injury or burnout. Rather than pushing harder, we explore what it means to carry what matters, let go of unnecessary weight, and allow faith and compassion to shape how we respond when our hands are already full.
