7. The End Of The Week 29th May 2026 – Heatwave & Birthday Special!
44:20||Season 2026, Ep. 7This week on The End Of The Week, Stuart and Rachael battled soaring temperatures, survived another Friday in the studio, and officially kicked off the weekend with plenty of laughs, great music, and some very special guests. The show started with heatwave chaos as Stuart compared himself to a human disco ball while listeners shared their best ways to stay cool during the hottest spell of the year. The duo also looked back at last week’s unexpected fire alarm drama, which famously interrupted the show and nearly turned a Myles Smith song into an accidental Dolly Parton remix.A highlight of the afternoon was welcoming Stuart’s daughter Lucy into the studio to celebrate her 12th birthday. Lucy brought plenty of birthday energy, gave her honest opinions on studio life, and even enjoyed her own “five minutes of fame” as she shared stories about secondary school, half-term adventures and life as a Year 7 student.Elsewhere, Stuart and Rachael chatted about Soccer Aid, Robbie Williams’ halftime performance, local events including the Grafton Regis Summer Fete and Classic Car Show, and the upcoming Stony Live Festival, which promises a packed week of music and entertainment across Stony Stratford. The show’s popular Birthday of the Week feature returned, complete with a special birthday song chosen by Lucy, while listeners also enjoyed plenty of 80s classics, a misheard lyrics moment, and a nostalgic trip through the decade of MTV, Pac-Man and Live Aid.As the afternoon rolled on, conversation turned to weekend plans, BBQs, cocktails, food festivals and even surfing, paddleboarding and seaside adventures. Naturally, Stuart rounded things off by declaring he was heading off for a margarita as the show signed off for another week. With great music, local events, birthday celebrations, heatwave banter and plenty of laughs, it was another feel-good Friday afternoon on Stony Radio.Listen back to the full radio show including the feel good tunes here - https://www.mixcloud.com/stonyradiouk/playlists/end-of-the-week-show/Listen to all the songs from EVERY show on our Spotify playlist here - https://open.spotify.com/playlist/6KgE6ony2pk3THxguGVArz?si=cf3ceaf7b1e9462dFacebook - www.facebook.com/stuartandrachaelInstagram - www.instagram.com/stuartandrachaelWebsite - theendof.co.uk
6. The End Of The Week 22nd May 2026
43:16||Season 2026, Ep. 6The heatwave officially hit Milton Keynes this week — and so did the chaos on The End Of The Week with Stuart & Rachael. Broadcasting live from what felt like a human air fryer, the duo kicked off Friday afternoon melting in real time, discussing deodorant failures, sweaty offices, garden work setups and whether Stuart’s bald head could be classed as a solar panel. The show quickly turned into the ultimate summer soundtrack, packed with sunshine anthems, Eurovision nostalgia and listeners’ favourite summer bangers. Stuart and Rachael chatted about weekends in Stony Stratford, Eurovision classics like Waterloo and Making Your Mind Up, and why some Christmas songs should absolutely never be turned into summer songs. There was plenty of classic Friday randomness too — including BBQ hacks, disastrous BBQ stories, whether peaches belong on the grill, sweaty London trips, Uber boats with bars, holiday memories from Spain and Egypt, and a passionate debate about songs that sound suspiciously like other songs.Listeners got involved throughout the afternoon with song requests, birthday shoutouts and heatwave survival stories, while Stuart once again proved he can somehow make every topic descend into complete nonsense within minutes. The show wrapped up with tropical party vibes, reminders to catch the podcast and updated playlists, plus more teasing about what’s coming next on The End Of The Week.If you missed it live, you can listen back in full and catch all the best bits — minus the sweat patches.Listen back to the full radio show including the feel good tunes here - https://www.mixcloud.com/stonyradiouk/playlists/end-of-the-week-show/Listen to all the songs from EVERY show on our Spotify playlist here - https://open.spotify.com/playlist/6KgE6ony2pk3THxguGVArz?si=cf3ceaf7b1e9462dFacebook - www.facebook.com/stuartandrachaelInstagram - www.instagram.com/stuartandrachaelWebsite - theendof.co.uk
