Dublin Talking

For years, sport has played a huge part in shaping the fabric of our city, from the parish GAA club to the local football fields or the canvas of a boxing ring.It's something that can and has brought communities together across Dublin through the highs and lows, and the wins and the losses. It's something that can bring out the best in us, but for some, it's a bit more difficult to take part and experience some of the joy that's on offer.This week, we took a look at some of the initiatives and clubs across Dublin that have created an inclusive space for people from all walks of life. 

For years, Dublin's inner city has been key in helping to put our city on the map. From arts and music to culture and sports, Dublin has been represented by stars such as Kellie Harrington, Barry Keoghan and Séan O'Casey. Despite that, it's an area that's often been neglected and suffered from serious social problems, including drug addiction, crime and violence. This week, we join some of the people who have done their bit to help the community.

Although Dublin is a small city with familiar faces around every corner, some of those faces have changed in recent times. In the last few years, we've seen more and more people moving to Dublin hoping for a new life.

A range of new faith groups have popped up on our shores over the years, from Islam to Buddhists and Hare Krishnas to Hinduism. This week, on Dublin talking we met with some of the newer faiths that have grown in our city. 

Despite being home to some if the country's finest athletes in some of the more mainstream sports - some people have taken a look at some different forms of exercise across Dublin.
