Drink the Wild Air

Lives lived differently: obscure pursuits and ambitious designs.

Rachel Halliburton

Rachel Halliburton has interviewed the man wrongly accused of betraying Che Guevara, some formidable female chess players and a man who specialises in the acoustics of coral reefs. She loves people who think about six impossible things before breakfast. She’s travelled to the Arctic and tested speedboats in the Mediterranean but she’s never cracked how to make marmalade. Her philosophy – like that Irishman who wrote plays – is always to fail better.

Neil Mason

Neil Mason loves his coffee.. though slightly less than his guitars and his pursuit to deliver flawless sound. He first discovered the guitar at the age of 8 and has never looked back. They say musicians need to have a keen ear. Neil has made a career out of his sophisticated understanding of music. From recording to sound editing to conjuring complex sound installations helping artists to achieve the sounds they strive for, Neil keeps himself busy with all things sound. His installations sit proud in some of the most famous studios across the world- both private and public.
