Drifting through... with Matt Nõmme

Port Talbot inspired one of my favourite films, Terry Gilliam's 'Brazil'. Released in 1985, it's about dreaming is the only escape from a modern, oppressive, technologically obsessed world.

I've been obsessed with YouTube comments on Dylan Thomas video's, especially the ones under 'Do not go gentle into that good night', they are a window into people's hopes, fears, and prejudices, it's a beautifully nuts place to be.

The Newport wetlands is a proper magic place in South Wales, I took a walk amongst the reeds and came back with memories of wild nights camping in the hills north of Cardiff.

this was recorded in the immediate aftermath of Christmas, but I fell ill and everything went out the window. luckily the topic of grown men shouting unspeakable insults at eachother, while cwtched up in their warm coats is a timeless British tradition, so no harm in releasing this one late.
