Corporal Matthew T. Snook, a respected Delaware State Police trooper, will be laid to rest today in Newark following his tragic death in the line of duty. Snook, a thirty-something officer, was shot and killed while working overtime at a DMV office near New Castle. He heroically pushed a DMV worker out of harms way before taking a fatal shot. The shooter, Rahman Rose, was also killed in the ensuing chaos. Snooks funeral service will be held at the University of Delawares Bob Carpenter Center, with heavy traffic expected from 9 AM to 5 PM, particularly on South College Avenue.
