In this episode, I talked about my experiences in residency training. Whenever I get the chance to meet a patient, I always see to it that I could say these three words before I leave them: “Pagaling po kayo! (Get well soon!)”. Those simple words you can say can actually mean a lot to them. More often than not, you will also receive a “Salamat po! (Thank you!)” or a brimming smile from them… It is just fulfilling. But now that I am dealing with patients who are already in their "end-stage" or "end-of-life" situations, I can no longer say those words to them. Knowing too well that there is already no cure to their disease, what kind parting words can we tell them? Join me as I try find those words here.
