  • 9. DNA does Lure Live at the Big One

    38:44
Welcome aboard. We're back, back ,back with a very late episode that covers our visit to the Big One show and more specifically the Lure Live section ran by Predator tackle. It was a nice gauge of where the lure scene is at in the UK and whilst it isn't yet shoulder barging the Carp guys into the long grass it's certainly holding its own. We spent a few quid, met some great people and ate some wonderful cake. Please sit back, fluff up a cushion and excuse the poor audio. Like and subscribe when you can. Enjoy the tightest of lines, Dan & Ad
  • 8. Italian Black Bass - The Eagle Has Landed

Ad manages to stay in the country long enough to record episode 8, after a pizza-filled, dream trip to Lake Bolsena, Italy with Lowrance - the marine electronics experts. In this episode we discuss what it's like to be a 'Bass pro' for a few hours. Ad shares the nuggets of information gleaned from a genuine, Italian bass fishing professional. And of course, we bring you detail of an exciting, new launch of fish finders - the Lowrance Eagle. It feels like the appropriate time to delve into the back catalogue and discuss some pivotal moments in our angling where technology played a key role. Thanks again for taking the time to listen. As ever we appreciate it. The main fishing season is getting closer! Tight lines, Dan & Ad
  • 7. DNA Japan Part2 - How do you pronounce Ima?

    01:14:07
We're back, back, back! Having mostly recovered from jet lag, aggressive cold symptoms and single-handedly propping up the Japanese economy we offer some more truth nuggets from our trip to Japan which mainly consists of what we spent our money on and when buyers remorse kicks in.To kick us off we have the legend that is George Cunningham easing us into episode 7 with the most epic of intros. Recorded in a busy Japanese bar, at a very late hour, after a few refreshing beers. Complete with background noise, it sets the standard in the very best way. For those that don't know, George is the head of Tronixpro and HTO, as well of a host of other well known brands, and his influence on the UK lure fishing scene has been remarkable. We love you big G!As the title suggests we don't know how to say Ima, or IMA. Is it I.M.A or not? Hopefully our IMA correspondent will clarify. Anyway, we finally have a listener (question) to answer, and we almost reveal (by mistake) our most successful lure for catching BIG reservoir Perch. Thanks for taking the time to listen. As ever we appreciate every one of you. Spring will be with us soon. Tight lines, catch that PB, Dan & Ad.

  • 5. BIG News For Dan, Ad & the Podcast

    58:53
We're back with some BIG news for Episode 5. In fact, the news is so BIG it demands a BIG intro as well. So, we are honoured to have our good friend and lure angling behemoth, Thom Hunt ease us into this podcast, where we reveal our upcoming travel plans. As well as what we haven't been catching recently and some of the things we are looking ahead to in 2024.January and February can be a miserable time for the fisher-person and that can inevitably lead to spending our hard earned pennies on lures in an effort to get some kind of fishing dopamine hit. And boy, are we going for the biggest, grade-A hit of retail therapy available to anyone that enjoys Japanese fishing tackle! As ever, thanks for all your kind messages. We appreciate every listen, download and play more than you possibly know.Tight lines and we look forward to coming in your ears from somewhere on the planet very soon.Dan & Ad(Our Producers would like to point out that Dan wishes nothing but good things for all bears, regardless of species and that, in hindsight his offer to fight a bear may be at best foolish.)
  • 4. 'DNA Versus' Round One

    01:10:27
In what is likely a ground-breaking podcast, we pit our wits against each other in the first ever 'live' recorded lure fishing tournament. Fished on the Kennet and Avon Canal in Hungerford, which holds a decent stock of both Perch and Pike. How will we each approach the venue with a randomly selected set of rules, and ultimately who will come out on top? Will it be former and current UK street fishing champion and Hungerford specialist Adam Kirby or will it be Bakery aficionado Dan Sissons? High jeopardy, fish aplenty, Jack pike and even a magic, canal 40cm Perch are all guaranteed.Happy holidays everyone, DnA.
