For Mr Baker, literature and poetry are fundamentally concerned with human nature and real life where we are rarely faced with binary right and wrong decisions.     In our latest episode we’re in the science labs with Head of Chemistry Mr Schofield teaching Second Years and Lower Sixth Formers about batteries. A former director at a city investment bank, Mr Schofield switched to teaching to help future generations of chemists fulfil their potential. For him, Chemistry is about getting hands on; ‘we do the theory, then apply it in practice, and it's a great way to learn.’ Around since 1799, batteries are everywhere in our day-to-day life and battery technology is key to providing a more sustainable and greener future – an essential topic for all today’s young scientists.

    Hola, Bonjour, Guten Tag, Ni Hao, Privet! Step into the Modern Languages Department for a flavour of how we teach French, German, Mandarin, Russian and Spanish at Hampton. It's all about the spoken word and most Hamptonians leave school able to converse in at least one language thanks to our brilliant teachers who are passionate about young people connecting and engaging with the world around them.
