Casiopea, an iconic jazz band that still dominates in Japan, truly encapsulated this futuristic essence on their groundbreaking 1982 album, Mint Jams. This live-recorded but studio-polished gem wasn't just a pinnacle for the Issei Noro-led group; it stood as a beacon for those exploring how different cultures interpret and often outshine the West.
