Denise and Ralph Balbin join the show to talk about their experience escaping the Las Vegas Massacre.&nbsp;On Oct 1, 2017, during the final night of the festival Route 91 country music festival in Las Vegas, NV, a gunman opened fire from the nearby Mandalay Bay hotel, killing 58 people and wounding 851 in what is the deadliest mass shooting from a single individual in our nation's history.&nbsp;Recorded a little more than 4 months after the event, in February of 2018, Denise and Ralph recall their experience that night, escaping the concert with little more than scrapes and bruises. Of course, being part of something so traumatic extols more than just physical harm, so they also go on to detail how they have progressed in getting back to normal and the resulting lessons and perspective gained.

Tammy Kaehler joins the show to discuss the process of becoming a published author, covering the inspiration to do it, resources that helped her get started, and the joys of trying to get published.&nbsp;We then discuss the research that was required to write authentic racing scenes for her murder mysteries, which take place in the world of ALMS and, more recently, Indy Car racing. Currently there are 5 novels staring Kate Reilly, who drives the racecar and solves the mysteries.&nbsp;Feminism is a part of Tammy's identity, so we go into a discussion about what that means to her in today's world and how it impacts her writing. 003 - Author and Feminist Tammy Kaehler

This episode features Chris Blair, who works in the Communications Departments for NASA's <a href="https://www.nasa.gov/centers/marshall/home/index.html" target="_blank">Marshall Space Flight Center</a> in Huntsville, AL. In addition to his work with NASA, Chris talks about making a serious mid-life career transition and encourages others to think about their passions and how those might motivate a career transition.&nbsp;Chris discusses what he does for the Center currently along with previous roles like running the Facebook page for a NASA center.&nbsp;We then get into Chris' backstory, which took him from high school band director to education outreach at Kennedy Space Center and how he made the transition from public education to NASA outreach.
