In this week’s Zohar, there are many fascinating sections about how to read a person’s face, eyes, lips, and hands, as well as teachings about astrology and prophecy.  At first, that seems strange since this week’s portion is a detailed description of the Mount Sinai revelation where the Jewish people receive the Torah from Hashem himself. So you would think this week would be an extended discussion about the mitzvot, which for sure there are teachings, but why mention astrology and face and palm reading in this very important parsha?
