Episode 414: Key Kinahan cartel man Liam Brannigan is released from prison

A key member of the Kinahan organisation has been released from prison with another senior operative due out in the coming days.

Both Liam Brannigan and Dean Howe have served their sentences for a feud-related conspiracy to kill, and Gardai will be watching closely to see if they leave for Dubai or try to regroup in Dublin.

Nicola speaks to Niall Donald about Brannigan described by a Judge as the ‘centre of the wheel’ of a plot to murder Hutch associate Gary Hanley in 2017 and his sidekick Howe.

We discuss their backgrounds, their familial bonds with some of the top echelons of the Kinahan cartel and the future prospects for them back home.
