Former Garda Superintendent John ‘Spud’ Murphy who is serving a prison sentence for drug offences was moved back to the Midland jail from the open facility of Shelton Abbey after he was discovered to have gone to a pub during a day release.


Nicola speaks with Niall Donald about Murphy, his crimes and the lessons of humility that he has yet to learn from his shameful fall from grace.
