A man who set a Garda car on fire during the Dublin riots has landed a six and a half year jail term despite pleading guilty to arson and criminal damage.Declan Donaghey apologised to the Government but a Judge said she didn’t accept that he acted in a moment of madness.As he was led away the 28 year old shouted scumbags at Gardai and supporters were removed by the public order unit.Nicola speaks to Eimear Rabbitte about the sentence.

In the second part of our reporting on Day 9 of the case against Conor McGregor and his friend James Lawrence who are accused of rape we hear the closing statements given on behalf of the plaintiff Nikita Hand who says she was raped by both men in a Dublin hotel in 2018.Both have denied the allegations and said they had consensual sex with her. The jury will be directed today by Justice Alexander Owens who has indicated that they will have two questions to answer by a civil balance of probability and that they will have a number of different compensation options available should they find in her favour.Nicola speaks with Clodagh Meaney who has been covering the trial.
