A US case involving boxer Goran Gogic is heading to trial over allegations he took part in a scheme to smuggle large quantities of cocaine into Europe. The proceedings were delayed after authorities uncovered a plan to bribe a juror with an offer of $100,000.

The extraordinary circumstances emerged after three men linked to the mafia were bugged discussing how to get the juror the bribe money.

The Kinahan Cartel were believed to be part of the conglomerate who attempted to ship $1 billion worth of cocaine to Europe- this became the load at the centre of the trial.

Nicola talks with Niall Donald about the plot which was hatched and botched.
