Creators Conversations @ CISAC

Our first episode comes to you en route to Seoul via London ahead of our visit to South Korea for the 2024 CISAC General Assembly. In this episode, we interview three UK-based songwriters who write for the K-pop market: producer, songwriter and mix engineer James Reynolds and songwriting duo Arcades (aka Max Graham and Matt Thomson) who between them, have written for artists such as BTS, Fifty Fifty, Enhypen, Shinee, Le Sserafim and Seventeen, as well as Anglo-American artists such as Years & Years, Julia Michaels, Disciples, Sigrid, Paloma Faith, Calvin Harris and Gorgon City. They talk to us about the opportunities that are available, how writing K-Pop has enabled them to make a sustainable living, and their use of and concerns around AI in the creative process.
