84 - Rewriting the Rules of Work

Season 14

This season’s theme is Rewriting the Rules of Work — exploring how leaders, founders, and creative thinkers can move beyond outdated models of hustle, control, and burnout, to create healthier, more resilient, and sustainable ways of working. After a summer reset, host Mich Bondesio kicks off Season 14 with fresh insights, new projects, and an invitation to rethink how we work.

In this episode, Mich introduces the theme of season 14 - Rewriting the Rules of Work, covering:

  • Why the old rules of work (busyness = productivity, hustle = success, infinite growth at all costs) are no longer fit for purpose.
  • The four forces reshaping work: burnout, ecological crises, AI acceleration, and cultural value shifts.
  • An introduction to the three paradigm shifts explored this season:
  1. The Chief Energy Officer – redefining leadership around energy and wellbeing.
  2. Productivity That Replenishes – moving beyond toxic hustle towards regenerative, intentional workflows.
  3. Designing Business for a Changing Planet – embedding sustainability into strategy, not slogans.

This season, expect a mix of solo deep dives and expert interviews with leaders in psychology, sustainability, and behavioural strategy.

Mich also shares updates from her summer, including experimenting with a 4-day workweek, launching a Substack, creating October masterclasses, starting her first fiction project, and the productivity and wellbeing benefits of time in nature.
