DNA as a quantum field, what have drones got to do with it?

Ep. 175
•
DNA, Bees & the Quantum Field of Perspective

In this episode, I explore an emerging conversation at the intersection of quantum biology, epigenetics, bees, and perception.

Drawing on a recent Scientific Reports paper proposing DNA as a quantum-coherent system, alongside lived experience, bee wisdom, and metaphor, we explore the idea that DNA may function not only as a chemical code, but as a layered informational map, with different aspects becoming active depending on perspective and tuning.

This episode is not about proving a theory, but about opening a conversation between science, healing, and ancient knowing.

🧬 Key themes explored
  • DNA as more than a linear genetic code
  • Quantum coherence, resonance, and information fields
  • Why perspective matters more than location
  • Epigenetics and environmental signalling
  • Bees as teachers of field-based awareness
  • Healing as tuning rather than fixing
🌱 A note on Bruce Lipton

The work of Bruce Lipton deeply influenced my own healing journey.

Bruce Lipton’s research and teachings focus on epigenetics, the understanding that genes are not destiny, and that cellular expression responds to environmental signals. His work does not claim DNA operates as a quantum computer.

In this episode, I honour his contribution as a gateway: helping many of us move beyond genetic determinism and into a more responsive, relational understanding of biology.

šŸ”¦ Metaphor & multidimensional language

I also reference a metaphor shared by Alex Collier, using a flashlight beam to describe layered perception or ā€œdensitiesā€.

This is offered as a conceptual map, not scientific proof a way of visualising how multiple layers of information may coexist, with attention determining what becomes foreground.

šŸ Why bees matter here

Bees naturally operate through fields, vibration, and coherence:

  • sensing electric and magnetic fields
  • navigating by solar and environmental cues
  • responding to rhythm before form

A bee flying around a body does not change the body — it changes what information becomes primary.

Bees remind us that perspective selects reality.

    14:02||Ep. 189
    Prompted by a question from a member of Paula's Spiritual Beekeeping Community, Paula researched, and shares her thoughts on the relationship between this nocturnal moth and it's love of honey made by the bees. Is it straight forward to categorise the moth as a preditor as a danger to the bees? Perhaps we need to change our perspective with bees and Hawk-moths and reflect on our own relationships with bees before judging other honey eaters?Learn more:Paula's community on skool has courses within the classrooms where you can learn more about honey, bees, beekeeping and health.Help his podcast reach a wider audience by sharing and writing a review.www.paulacarnell.comJoin Paula's FREE community on SKOOLhttps://books.by/paula-carnellMusic by RayaVisit subscribe to my newsletter for a free ebook version of ā€˜Artist to Bees’.Join membership: Spiritual Beekeeping on SKOOLFollow me n Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/paula.carnell/Linked In: https://www.linkedin.com/in/paula-carnell-3016421/YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@paulacarnell/videos

  • 182. Hive Mind & torpor

    16:17||Ep. 182
    In today's episode Paula shares some details on the first session of the Spiritual Beekeeping course held in Skool and how the 'hive mind' principle has been used bringing together students with all ranges of spiritual and bee practice together with Paula's bees in her Bee Spa. Each session is connected to the time of year and what the bees are actually experiencing. In the winter bees go into a state called 'torpor' to preserve their resources and rest during the months when it's too cold and wet to fly, and also when there's nothing to forage on due to snow or lack of flowering plants.Learn more:Paula's community on skool has courses within the classrooms where you can learn more about honey, bees, beekeeping and health.Help his podcast reach a wider audience by sharing and writing a review.www.paulacarnell.comJoin Paula's FREE community on SKOOLhttps://books.by/paula-carnellMusic by RayaVisit subscribe to my newsletter for a free ebook version of ā€˜Artist to Bees’.Join membership: Spiritual Beekeeping on SKOOLFollow me n Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/paula.carnell/Linked In: https://www.linkedin.com/in/paula-carnell-3016421/YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@paulacarnell/videos
