The Hour of Glorification
Hear God's Word expounded and applied by John Sweat, as he preaches from the first few verses of John 17 in a sermon entitled, "The Hour of Glorification."
Preached by John Sweat on May 19, 2019.
God's Gracious and Effective Call
This Lord’s Day, we have the privilege of reminding ourselves of God’s gracious call that drew us to Christ and saved our souls. When we consider when God set His love upon us, how He drew us to Christ, and the rewards He showers upon us as a result, we certainly understand why the song declares it to be Amazing Grace.Preached by Lem Lane on May 30,2021John 6:41-50
The Sufficient Bread of Life
We have found that which satisfies the longings of our souls completely. And of course, it is the God-Man, Jesus the Christ. He is truly all we need. As the Bread of Life, He removes all the hunger and thirst of our souls as we approach Him in true faith. And once again, if the Lord allows, we will gather at the beginning of the week, on the Lord’s Day, to glorify Him and edify one another, because of His sufficient grace. This text (John 6:35-40) teaches us clearly, that Jesus is the Bread who gives life to the world, sent from heaven by the Father. And as such, we should find all we need in Him.Preached by Lem Lane on May 23, 2021John 6:35-40
Searching for the Bread of Life
Who else on earth gets to celebrate their King’s decisive, never to be undone, victory that secures their eternal status? No one! And as we come to rejoice together, we look at John 6:22-34. Jesus is speaking to the crowd that found Him in Capernaum, and He begins to reveal Himself as the true Bread of Life that has been sent from heaven by the Father. Jesus is the better Moses, leading the better Exodus, and feeding the people of God on the true Bread, which is Himself.Preached by Lem Lane on May 16, 2021John 6:22-34
