CORE 372: Diving With Dave
In this episode of CORE 372, the main topic is the early release of Baldur's Gate 3 on August 3 for PC, with a delay for the PS5 version to September 6. The developers aim to achieve 60 frames-per-second on PS5 and prioritize quality over rushing the release. The hosts discuss their recent gaming experiences, including Final Fantasy XVI, Diablo 4, and various Steam Next Fest demos. They also mention mods for games like Deep Rock Galactic and Crysis in VR. The episode features a game show segment called "Dear Martha," where they guess which game a review is about. They touch upon news about Microsoft CEO's stance on exclusives, Bobby Kotick's view on Gamepass, World of Warcraft Classic adding Hardcore Realms, the Steam Summer Sale, and BlizzCon 2023 ticket prices. Additionally, they receive an email addressing a discussion on Final Fantasy 6 and 7's merits. The episode concludes with news about a patron creating a hacked ROM of Super Techmo Bowl for NES, where patrons' names will be included in the game.
