Conspiracy Cabal
11: George Soros | Is he secretly controlling the world?
He was fourteen years old when he helped his father forge documents to survive the Nazi occupation of Budapest. He arrived in London with almost nothing. He became, for one day in September 1992, the man who broke the Bank of England — and pocketed a billion dollars doing it.
And somewhere between that refugee boy and the most vilified billionaire on the planet, George Soros became something else entirely: a shape onto which half the world projects its fears. The secret funder of every protest. The architect of open borders. The puppet-master behind prosecutors, presidents, and pandemics. The globalist. The name that arrives, sooner or later, in almost every modern conspiracy theory.
The thing is, some of it is documented. He does fund political causes, on a scale that is genuinely extraordinary. His Open Society Foundations have spent billions reshaping legal systems, media organisations, and civil society groups across dozens of countries. Governments have expelled his operations. His own birth country has passed laws bearing his name.
So where does the documented end — and the mythology begin?
In this episode, Richard Baker and Dr. Nick Coatsworth go looking for the real George Soros underneath the legend: the man, the money, and the machine — and ask why his name has become the answer to so many questions that were never really about him.
- The Black Wednesday trade, what he actually did, why it worked, and what it tells us about how he sees the world
- The Open Society Foundations — what they fund, who benefits, and whether "promoting democracy" is as neutral as it sounds
- The prosecutor pipeline — the DA races, the criminal justice reform agenda, and how much of the backlash is legitimate criticism versus something older and uglier
- The antisemitism question — how a set of real facts about a real billionaire became a vessel for a very ancient kind of hate, and how those two things got tangled together
- Why Soros endures as a conspiracy magnet when other billionaires — spending just as much, on the other side — barely register
Some of this is documented. Some is projection. And almost none of it is as simple as either side wants you to believe.

12. 12: COVID-19 | The Lab Leak Theory & Vaccine Mandates
37:17||Season 1, Ep. 12The lab leak. The five-eyes suppression. The gain-of-function funding trail. The Beagle experiments. The suppressed treatments. The modellers whose predictions shaped policy but whose data no one could check. The social media companies that quietly moved the goalposts on what counted as misinformation - and who told them to.The thing is - some of this is now documented. The lab leak hypothesis, once treated as a dangerous fringe idea, is now the assessed position of multiple US intelligence agencies. Emails obtained through FOIA requests showed senior scientists privately voicing concerns they publicly dismissed. Gain-of-function research at the Wuhan Institute of Virology was partly funded, indirectly, through bodies connected to the NIH - and whether that meets the technical definition of "gain-of-function" became, itself, a political question. So where does the documented end - and the mythology begin? In this episode, Richard Baker and Dr. Nick Coatsworth go back to the beginning - not to relitigate the pandemic, but to ask what we actually know now that we didn't then, and what the episode tells us about science, power, and what happens when the two collide under pressure. The lab leak - what the intelligence assessments actually say, what they don't, and why "we don't know" is a more honest answer than either side wants to giveThe Fauci emails, the beagle experiments, and the gain-of-function funding trail - what the documents show and what's still being disputedThe suppressed treatments question - hydroxychloroquine, ivermectin, and how a genuine scientific debate became a culture warThe Great Barrington Declaration - who signed it, who attacked it, and whether the pushback was about the science or the politicsThe social media censorship question - what platforms suppressed, who guided them, and how some of it has since been quietly un-suppressedWhat the pandemic tells us about institutional trust - and whether the damage done to public confidence in health authorities was earned, inflicted, or bothSome of this is documented. Some remains contested. And almost none of it is as simple as either side wants you to believe. This episode is sponsored by Blackmores. More health, more life. 10. 10: The Nugan Hand Bank Affair | Did the CIA influence Australian elections?
37:22||Season 1, Ep. 10A man is found dead in his car on a remote New South Wales road in January 1980, a rifle between his legs and a business card in his pocket bearing the name of a former director of the CIA.Within weeks, his bank — a merchant institution with branches in Chiang Mai, Taipei, Saudi Arabia, and almost nowhere you'd expect an Australian bank to be — had collapsed. Millions were missing. His business partner, a former Green Beret with documented CIA connections, vanished without a trace. And the list of names on the bank's letterhead read less like a board of directors and more like a who's who of American intelligence.Frank Nugan's death was ruled a suicide. Michael Hand was never found. The money was never recovered. And somehow, despite a royal commission, a congressional inquiry, and decades of investigative journalism, the full story of Nugan Hand Bank has never quite made it into the mainstream. In this episode, Richard Baker and Dr. Nick Coatsworth follow the money — from the heroin fields of the Golden Triangle to the back channels of Cold War geopolitics — and ask whether what collapsed in 1980 was a bank, a front, or something far more deliberate.- Frank Nugan's death, the scene, the rifle, the business card, and why the suicide ruling has never sat comfortably- Michael Hand, who he actually was, what the CIA has ever admitted, and how a man simply disappears in 1980- The branch network, what an Australian merchant bank was doing in the world's most sensitive intelligence hotspots- The names on the letterhead — Admiral Earl Yates, William Colby, and what their involvement tells us about who this bank was really serving- The heroin connection, the Golden Triangle, and the long-standing allegation that Nugan Hand was financing covert operations with drug money- Why Australia's royal commission found what it found, and what it pointedly didn't look forSome of this is documented. Some remains classified. None of it has ever been fully resolved.Conspiracy Cabal is proudly supported by WholeLife. 9. 09: Nikola Tesla | Did the US Government kill him?
33:41||Season 1, Ep. 9The man who lit the world died in Room 3327 of the New Yorker Hotel in January 1943, broke, largely forgotten, and in the middle of a world war that desperately wanted what was in his head. The FBI seized his files within hours. His nephew was told they'd found nothing of interest. A government physicist was quietly brought in to review the "death ray" papers. And somewhere along the way, a question started circulating that has never quite gone away: did the US government let Nikola Tesla die, or did they help him along? In this episode, Richard Baker and Dr. Nick Coatsworth go back to Room 3327 and ask what the official record actually tells us — and what it doesn't.The death itself, the timeline, the hotel maid who found him, and what the scene actually looked likeThe file seizure, who moved, how fast, and what "Alien Property" really meant in wartime AmericaThe death ray, what Tesla's teleforce weapon actually was, how close he'd gotten, and who wanted itJohn Trump's assessment, what he told the FBI, and whether anyone believed himThe free energy question, the theory that suppression of Tesla's work didn't start when he died, and what that has to do with his final years of povertyWhy the official story has always felt just slightly too tidy, and what remains, to this day, unaccounted forSome of this is documented. Some remains classified. None of it has ever been fully resolved.Join Rich Baker and Dr Nick Coatsworth as they suss it all out.Conspiracy Cabal is proudly supported by WholeLife. 8. 08: The Vanishing of Harold Holt | The Chinese Spy Theory
28:55||Season 1, Ep. 8A Chinese submarine loaded with "frog men", the CIA nabbed him with an underwater assassination or...get this...he drowned. Which of these three could it possibly be!Harold Holt had been Prime Minister for less than two years. He was an experienced ocean swimmer. And in the months before he disappeared, Australia was navigating one of the most politically sensitive periods in its history. Vietnam was escalating, Pine Gap was being quietly negotiated, and the relationship between Canberra and Washington was more complicated than the public knew. Then he went for a swim at Cheviot Beach, and was gone. What followed was one of the strangest episodes in Australian political history. No body was ever recovered. The inquest took decades to happen. And somewhere along the way, a theory emerged, that Holt hadn't drowned at all, but had been extracted by a Chinese submarine. In this episode, Richard Baker and Dr. Nick Coatsworth go back to Cheviot Beach and ask what the official record actually tells us - and what it doesn't.The disappearance itself, the timeline, the witnesses, and what the conditions were actually like that dayHarold Holt and the Americans, his relationship with LBJ, Pine Gap, and the geopolitical backdrop to his final months in officeThe Chinese submarine theory, where it came from, who's argued for it, and why it's never been fully put to restThe intelligence files - what ASIO and the CIA held, and what became of the paperworkThe body that was never found, and what that may or or may not tell usWhy Australia moved on so quickly, a state memorial with no coffin, a new PM within days, and very few official questions askedSome of this is documented. Some remains classified. None of it has ever been fully resolved.Join Rich and Nick as they wade in.Conspiracy Cabal is proudly supported by WholeLife. 7. 07: Antarctica | Secret Nazi Base
34:19||Season 1, Ep. 7Okay so bear with us on this one, we know they're not actually down there....but maaaaybe...nah we know they're not. Or are they....In 1938, Adolf Hitler sent an expedition to Antarctica. They mapped the terrain, claimed a chunk of it for the Reich, and called it Neuschwabenland. Then the war started, and the story gets buried.Fast forward to 1946. The US Navy launches Operation Highjump - the largest Antarctic expedition in history. Admiral Byrd leads 4,700 men, 13 ships, and 33 aircraft to the most remote continent on Earth. The mission is supposed to last eight months. It's abandoned in eight weeks. Byrd never fully explains why.Rumour has it that Hitler fled to Antarctica, is that what Byrd and his men were looking for? Then there's the ice itself. Beneath Antarctica's surface sit gravitational anomalies so massive and so strange that scientists still can't agree on what's causing them. Some say it's geology. Some say it's something buried. And some people - a lot of people - think the two stories are connected. In this episode, Richard Baker and Dr. Nick Coatsworth head to the bottom of the world and ask the questions the official record doesn't answer. The 1938 Nazi expedition to Antarctica - what they were looking for, what they found, and why it mattered enough to send a fleetBase 211 - the alleged secret Nazi base built beneath the ice, and the post-war disappearances that keep the theory aliveOperation Highjump - why the world's most powerful navy turned around and went home, and what Admiral Byrd said in the press afterwardsThe Antarctic Treaty of 1959 - who signed it, what it restricts, and why so many nations agreed so quickly to keep the continent off-limitsThe gravity anomalies - what's actually sitting under the ice sheet, and why the explanations don't quite add upSome of this is on the record. Some of it isn't. None of it has ever been fully explained. Join Rich and Nick as they try to figure out what - or who - the world's governments don't want you to find at the bottom of the Earth.Conspiracy Cabal is proudly supported by WholeLife. 5. 05: Civilisation Reset Theory | Ancient Aliens
37:00||Season 1, Ep. 5So aliens came down and supercharged the sh*t out of a civilisation???4500 BCE, advanced civilization appeared virtually overnight in Mesopotamia. The Sumerians developed writing, complex mathematics, astronomical charts, and sophisticated architecture with no apparent predecessor cultures. Some claim this wasn't evolution - it was a reset. A remnant of lost advanced knowledge, or even extra-terrestrial intervention. In this episode, we explore:- Why Sumerian civilization seemingly emerged fully formed with no developmental period- The Anunnaki myths and ancient astronaut theories popularized by Zecharia Sitchin- Advanced astronomical knowledge - how did ancient Sumerians know about planets not visible to the naked eye?- Cuneiform tablets describing genetic manipulation and 'gods from the sky'Göbekli Tepe and evidence of pre-Sumerian advanced cultures- What really explains Sumer's rapid advancement - lost civilizations, aliens, or selective archaeology?Join hosts Richard Baker and Dr. Nick Coatsworth as they investigate whether human civilization was reset, or if we're seeing pattern-seeking in ancient ruins.Contact the show at conspiracycabal@outlook.comConspiracy Cabal is proudly supported by WholeLife.
