S2 E10: David Mannheim - Using Personalisation to Increase Sales Online

Season 2, Ep. 10

My guest on this episode of Confessions of an Agency Owner is David Mannheim. Exited agency founder, published author and now founder of SAAS company Made with Intent.

After scaling and selling his agency User Conversion to Brainlabs he took some time out and has just finished writing his book on personalisation in e-commerce which is due to be released this summer (2023).

Alongside that he’s also launching a platform called Made with Intent that uses customer intent to unlock personalisation through the Ecommerce customer journey.

Inspired by the football metric XG or expected goals, David has come up with a very clever solution using machine learning to introduce personalised experiences on Ecommerce sites based on the likelihood that the customer will convert.

I was keen to learn how this new platform could revolutionise how Ecommerce stores measure conversion using the intent shown by customers when browsing.

  • 6. S2 E6: Alex Holliman - Becoming a B-Corp Agency

    44:32
Building a purpose driven business: This episode is all about Building a purpose driven business. And in my opinion Alex Holliman, founder of Climbing Trees, takes this to a seriously impressive level. Whilst the world was in lockdown in 2020 it gave Alex time to reflect on his purpose. Not only was there a global pandemic but climate change was causing wild fires across the world. It felt like a pivotal moment in world history. Alex set out to make a change and set his agency the objective to become B-Corp certified. This involved looking at lots of elements of his business, from diversity and inclusion to sustainability and social responsibility. It’s such an inspiring story and these days Alex finds himself turning away a lot of business based if they don’t align with their own mission to make the world a better place.
