New Hampshire Home Prices Surge, Inventory Slightly Improves

New Hampshires housing market has seen a consistent rise in single-family home prices for seventy months, with a median price of $525,000 in November, a 5% increase from last year. Despite this, the state still faces a historically low housing inventory, with less than half the supply needed for a balanced market. However, theres a slight improvement, with an 11% increase in single-family homes available compared to last November. Buyers are becoming more flexible, exploring different locations and housing types, including multi-generational homes. The median age for first-time home buyers is now around forty, and efforts are being made to lower this age.

  • GAO Report: Federal Agencies Misusing AI

    01:52|
The United States Government Accountability Offices recent report reveals a concerning issue: many federal agencies using AI tools are not adhering to the governments own risk management guidelines. This raises serious concerns about privacy, fairness, and accountability. The report highlights a gap between the National Institute of Standards and Technologys AI Risk Management Framework and its actual implementation across agencies. This is particularly worrying as federal agencies often handle sensitive data and make decisions impacting citizens lives. The report suggests that many agencies are still in the early stages of understanding and applying these guidelines. The GAOs findings aim to encourage agencies to prioritize responsible AI development and deployment, emphasizing the need for better training, clearer policies, and robust oversight mechanisms. The ultimate goal is to ensure that AI adoption by the government is transparent, ethical, and trustworthy.
