‘To Beat a Pilgrim’ Chelsea FanCast #873

Stamford Chidge and Jonathan Kydd are joined by Clayton Beerman and Marco 'Gate 17' Worrall to look back at a misfiring Chelsea performance against Plymouth Argyle in the FA Cup and ahead to the Club World Cup semi-final against Al-Hilal.

On the show tonight, in part one, we look at the awful form of Lukaku and Chelsea’s strikers and try and make some sense of it and in part two we give thanks to the defenders for doing the strikers job and to Kepa for saving the day.

In part three we have the results of this week’s Fannies for the Plymouth match, and we have a few emails to read out and in part four we round up the show by looking ahead to Wednesday afternoon’s Club World Cup semi-final against Al-Hilal.

He also learns to referee himself, experiencing first-hand the speed and scrutiny that come with every call.Through defining matches and controversial decisions, he examines the influence of VAR, how referees judge fouls, and the excruciatingly fine margins between control and chaos. And he looks into the issues between Chelsea and Anthony Taylor with a little help from Chidge, JK and Dan Silver! You can purchase the book on Amazon here
