“Pep Is Still Bald” Chelsea FanCast #839

Stamford Chidge is joined by Jonathan Kydd, Dan Silver and Martin Wickham to look back at a disappointing defeat to City and ahead to Juventus!

On the show tonight, we’ll ask were Chelsea poor or City very good? Is a lack of creativity in midfield the key problem and could Loftus-Cheek be the answer?

In part two we ask if the referee was a factor, would a draw have been a fair result and while we worry about the injuries, we applaud the defence for standing out yet again.

In part three we have the results of this week’s Fannies for the City match; and a couple of great emails. In part four we look ahead to Chelsea’s Champions League match away to Juventus on Wednesday.

  • ‘All’s Well That Chilwell’ Chelsea FanCast #1120

    01:40:41
Stamford Chidge & Jonathan Kydd are joined by Marco Worrall to look back at the FA Cup quarter final win against Leicester City.In part one, Raheem Sterling discuss! Should Poch have picked him in the first place? Is it a lack of confidence? Is it selfishness. The pen and free kick miss were very, but was it also poor captaincy in letting him take them in the first place? Either way we should never boo a Blue.We say well done to the Super poodle and Ice Cold Palmer, but we should have been 4-0 up at half time and it should have been all over at 2-0 but…We discuss the Disasi honorary Frank Sinclair own goal. Could Sanchez have done anything with the equaliser? He was skittish again - why does Poch pick him when Petrovic is clearly better. In part two we discuss Poch's subs - too late or spot on? Mudryk deserved to stay on; Chuk; Madueke with two superb goals and Chilwell made a difference but how much difference did the red card make? Chelsea showed character to come back and win 4:2 even if they left it late? And with Gusto, Palmer, Jackson, Mudryk, Gallagher, Moises all getting better - are we turning a corner…slowly. Finally we have another FA Cup semi final not to be sniffed at. That's Chelsea 54th semi-final in domestic and european competiton in their history, and they've lost 17 of those, so can we beat City?

How will Leicester approach it and what's his score prediction. In part three Chidge & JK preview the match kicking off with Chidge's team selection. • ‘Magpie Stew’ Chelsea FanCast #1118

    01:10:11
Stamford Chidge, Jonathan Kydd & Clayton Beerman look back at Monday night's win against Newcastle United. In part one, it was great to get an early goal with Jackson scoring his 9th of the season. Is there is hope we've found a goalscorer? Talking of which, Palmer is fantastic and scored his 11th of the season. Gusto is growing into a top player and Mudryk scored a wonder goal - maybe there is a footballer there after all? In Cucurella and Sterling we saw the good, the bad and the ugly with Cucurella having a decent game, bar his involvement in both Newcastle goals and Sterling wastful and disinterested - and that's being kind. ? It seems Chelsea are now both scoring and leaking goals. Are we attacking more and leaving the defence open? Is Silva’s wise head is missed? In part two Chelsea were better all night than Toon but left the door open. Poch’s subs worked and it was good to see Chuk back and Casadei looks good. We are still 11th but closing the gap - can we scrape into a European place. They need to stop being consistently inconsistent. Will returning players help? What would be acceptable this season? Top 7 and an FA Cup trophy? And will it be enough to keep Poch in a job?
