Chelsea FanCast Preview Show #880
Stamford Chidge, Jonathan Kydd and Tony Glover look ahead to Chelsea's match against Burnley on Saturday and look back at our win against Luton in the FA Cup last Wednesday.
Liam Twomey from The Athletic joins us in part one to discuss the 3-2 win against Luton Town in the FA Cup on Wednesday. A shocking 1st half with Saar and Kenedy poor, but a better 2nd half where Lukaku and Werner both scored.
We catch up on today's press conference where the press asked questions of Thomas Tuchel he couldn't answer: the impact of the news that Roman Abramovich is selling Chelsea; Marina Granovskaia's future; Tuchel's future; transfer plans; derailing the season; out of contract players oh and we found out that Azpilicueta is out injured.
We wrap up part one by answering some of the questions we have about Chelsea's impending sale. Did Roman have to sell? Who are the potential buyers? What must the new buyers do to get the supporters on-side?
In part two, Adam Dennett of the No Nay Never podcast joins us for the 'Opposition View'. We ask him what he thinks about Abramovich selling Chelsea? Burnley's recent form and can they avoid relegaton? Should they have sold Chris Wood to Newcastle? How will Dyche set up and how does Adam see it going and what is his prediction?
In part three, Chidge, JK and Tony give their preview of the Burnley v Chelsea match. Chidge gives his Team selection and we discuss Chelsea's record at Burnley; their ability to hurt Chelsea and the importance of finishing chances off and putting the game beyond Burnley's reach, as well as our predictions for the match.
We round up the show with a discussion about Roman Abramovich's incredible legacy in his 20 years of owning the club.
