I don’t know what it is about Southampton away, but it certainly seems to be a big favourite of so many Chelsea supporters, myself included. Nothing quite like the irony of an away day that is just down the road. Great day out, loads of mates, a decent friendly pub and cheap beer. What’s not to like! It seemed to appeal to Chelsea as well as they battled through a poor performance to grind out a win against a side that had not shipped a goal or lost in 6 games. Maybe like the mellifluous water of the Rivers Itchen and Test, the tide for Chelsea is turning.
On the show tonight we’ll be discussing the apparent return of Chelsea’s mental strength; applauding an important win and asking was Guus too ruthless in hooking Baba off?
