Catch Up with Louise McSharry

The RTÉ Debacle, Mark O'Connell and well, more RTÉ Debacle

This episode is a little unusual as I decided it'd be best to combine the new and entertainment slots since the biggest story of the week straddles both worlds. Aoife Moore and I did out very best to explain what's gone on and why it's significant... obviously there are opinions too.

In this week's interview I chat to the super-smart Mark O'Connell about his new book A Thread of Violence: A Story of Truth, Intervention and Murder in which he explores the crimes committed by Malcolm McArthur through conversations with the man himself. He also examines the moral implications of true crime becoming content via his unique narrative voice. It's great. He's great, and I hope you love our chat.
