Ava Hennessy was sexually assaulted two years ago, and while it wasn't an easy decision to report what happened to the gardai, she ultimately decided it was the right thing to do. Now, she's keen to share her experience of the legal system as a victim of sexual assault, and why she found it disappointing but ultimately doesn't regret the choice she made.
TW: We do not discuss the details of Ava's sexual assault but obviously there is mention of it throughout.

She's also really sound and fun to chat to, so I thought what better on the Friday before Christmas than to hear from her about some of Ireland's cultural traditions at this time of year and where they came from. I massively enjoyed this chat which includes many tangents, including lots of discussion of our relationship with the Irish language, and I hope you do too.To support the podcast and access bonus episodes (including my brand new monthly tv/movies/whatever you're having yourself episode with Emer) join our community on Patreon.Theme Song: HowDoILook, Pillow Queens229.
