This is one of my favourite conversations I've ever had on the podcast. I have been a long admirer of Alok Vaid-Menon's work as a comedian, writer and performance artist. Their work around gender and identity is clarifying and vital, and they are also funny and stylish and full of love and compassion. I was so thrilled to speak with them ahead of their Irish tour later this month, and learn about their relationship with Ireland among other things.
