This podcast is a twisted look at the world of virtual assistants aka Siri and Alexa, and the world we are creating when devices can listen in to our lives. Another submission! And it is also a fiction podcast! Motel Americana is a short story podcast consisting of odd and lovely tales set in a crummy motel in Jersey circa the 1980’s. The stories here run the literary gamut, from sci-fi and horror to comedy and romance. The premise is that these stories were written by Oscar Garrett, a teenager who lived at the motel with his family and evidently bugged the rooms because the tales are clearly based on actual audio surveillance recordings of the lodgers that stayed at the motel. The podcast is hosted by Jack Same who is a one man team which makes the content even more impressive!
