Weekly Rap Up: New Drake and Dave collab, Keefe D denied bail over 2Pac murder, Big L trying to rob Mase and more!

Ep. 201

In this week's rap up, Sumit and Chris get into:

  • Rumoured Drake and Dave collaboration
  • Keefe D being denied bail
  • Big L trying to get Mase set up and robbed

The hosts also reviewed the week's new releases, including albums from Boldy James and Conductor Williams, Lupe Fiasco, Locksmith, Kofi Stone, and Marsha Ambrosius. Oh yeah, Shaquille O'Neal released some old new music by reissuing his third album, You Can't Stop The Reign, to streaming services. This is big (pun intended) because the album features a classic collab with The Notorious B.I.G. and a long-lost track with Nas, Jay-Z, and Lord Tariq, originally recorded in 1996! Thank us later.

Philmore deep dives into the making of his new album, The Grand Design, working with Bruiser Wolf, his bond with Rashid Hadee and working with Apollo Brown and why King Von is a great storyteller. The convo gets really real when Chris and Philmore talk about generational trauma and why all Black men should consider accessing therapy.
