EP#10 - Every Grain of Nish Kumar

Has our special guest, comedian Nish Kumar, officially entered his “Every Grain of Sand” era? What does screenwriting guru Robert McKee have to say about the song? Which small seed-eating bird was used as a cheap source of protein in Biblical times? Why did Nish try to avoid seeing Dylan in concert after 2002? Does he think Bob and Nick Cave have a duty to engage more fully with politics? Why does Nish owe Kerry a thank you? Is Daily Show guest host Jordan Klepper listening to (or watching) BDA?

We are delighted to welcome Nish to the podcast this week. Nish has achieved huge success on the stand-up circuit with five rave reviewed solo stand-up shows at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, two of which have been nominated for the prestigious Comedy Award for Best Show in both 2015 & 2016.

Alongside stand-up Nish is a frequent voice and face across both television and radio, following a successful pilot in 2016, Nish completed two series of his own topical show for BBC Radio 4, Spotlight Tonight, which he also hosts as well as hosting both The News Quiz, Newsjack and Pod Save the U.K.
