Player Housing in WoW has no rules! (But our Neighborhood might)
Matt, Joe, and Liz were joined by Cory this week, and all four were more than ready to chat about Player Housing in WoW, which we recently got to see for the first time. There are still a lot of question marks after this first overview, but the team is excited about the information we do have, from Neighborhoods to decor (like a tower of bones, for instance!) to lack of repo men poised to take your house away if you default on your wizard mortgage. However, before anyone joins our Neighborhoods, there may be some rules to discuss (like no towers of bones, for instance!).
But, in the more immediate future is patch 11.1, which is coming out February 25. The car sounds incredibly cool, but of more importance is Brann Bronzebeard's continued Delving and his dedication to fancy hats. After all, transmog is endgame, even for NPCs. There's also the potential of a Diablo roadmap, and Warcraft Rumble and Diablo Immortal both have what seem like their own neat holidays going on... for as much as we play them.
The crew got so carried away there wasn't even enough time for questions, but we do appreciate you asking them. We'll save them for next week.

545. Dual wielding baguettes? Plus more Midnight hijinks
01:08:12||Ep. 545The litany of Midnight updates and information continues with things ranging from UI updates to dual wielding baguettes. Of course, we pore over every tiny crumb of Player Housing info, as the upcoming truest true end game. Our staff Druid Cory joined us, with an appeal for more Druid forms -- there are a few from the teasers we've seen that he is specifically writing to Santa Metzen about. There's another new Hearthstone miniset to discuss, and to go with it another achingly adorable little pet you can only get by gatcha.Plus, the Heroes of the Storm team gave Cory his regularly scheduled hopium in the form of a relatively sweeping update just before the crew went live. And right before the end of the podcast, Blizzard dropped a whole bunch of blog posts about Midnight, so at least we'll have something to talk about next week!544. Transmog is not free, and other Gamescom disappointments
01:01:11||Ep. 544Midnight and Gamescom were the core topic of this week's Blizzard Watch Podcast. A big part of the discussion centered on just how odd -- and, frankly, frustrating -- the way the information disseminated throughout the convention. Events posted late, misinformation, and illogical choices plagued the newest expansion's reveal. We're still excited for Player Housing, but there could be more we're excited about just waiting on some cutting room floor. But, as they note, the beta is coming soon -- you can sign up now, as a matter of fact. We discussed the new Demon Hunter spec, the new battleground, and UI improvements which may or may not topple BigWigs after 20 long years (though we doubt it a little).Plus, our writer Flan joined the crew to talk about his experiences on the Legion Remix PTR. Runas is just as depressing in 2025, by the way.543. The Midnight cinematic was released and we have thoughts
01:06:12||Ep. 543If you thought this week’s show would be entirely about the new Midnight trailer and the information we’re getting out of gamescom, you would be right. Site writer Rob Flanagan (who we all call Flan) joined Joe, Matt, and Liz to discuss the news, which included a heated discussion of Blood Elf lore, and whether we’ll miss our ol Delving buddy Brann. It’s a split house on almost every topic this week, so expect to explore a lot of different perspectives — with one notable exception. That sole exception was free transmog, which everyone was pumped at hearing, but unfortunately was reported a little hastily. You’ll be able to assign certain outfits and hotswap to those outfits for free, and you’ll be able to set conditional appearance swaps for free — like when you enter combat, or a rested area, for instance — but transmog is not full-on across the board free.Well, maybe we’ll find something else to agree on as the expansion gets closer.542. Tazavesh is the best city ever, and more WoW patch 11.2 observations
01:06:57||Ep. 542This week our host is our special guest, Liz Patt, who has a lot of opinions on Diablo, but she's also here for a discussion of patch 11.2. The team love Tazavesh, 10/10 city, no notes, though they remain a little skeptical of Broker culinary pursuits. We also looked at the Race to World First, which is underway as raid guilds contend to see who can get the first Mythic kill of Dimensius. Plus, General Manager Rod Fergusson has left Diablo, and we aren't quite sure what that means for the series. And in a segue which is no way jarring, we turn from Diablo to the Wholesome Games Festival on Steam, and some of the cute and cozy titles we enjoyed from that showcase.541. As Ghosts of K'aresh releases, what's up next?
01:06:16||Ep. 541This week patch 11.2 finally released, and we have the rundown of all the features for you, including the new World Boss, which was up this week -- surprise! We have a lot of opinions on the new Delve and dungeon and raid their collective lack of smooth Goblin jazz. We especially have thoughts on the new Cooldown Manager, which is slightly less "as seen on Temu." Plus, as the servers came up, some people got to see the perks for the different pre-orders for Midnight, some of which include Player Housing access, and some really cool items that Liz plans on using to showcase her mood.540. The waiting room for patch 11.2
01:02:12||Ep. 540Cory joined us for this week's show, and by coincidence there was also a Heroes of the Storm patch the day they recorded. What are the odds? Not very good, if you ask Cory. There was also a new Hearthstone Battlegrounds season to discuss. We're all very much looking forward to next week, when patch 11.2 finally releases, and we learn more about what Xal'atath has cooking. The Race for World First also already has our attention. We'll miss Void Storage, though.Plus, this week we had a lot of time for listener questions, so don't forget to send those in. Sometimes we have a ton going on so we don't get to them, but they're always fun to answer. You can address them to podcast@blizzardwatch.com or ask them in the #queue-and-podcast-questions channel on our Discord server.539. The latest news on Mists of Pandaria Classic
01:08:11||Ep. 539If you're dipping your feet into the newly released Mists of Pandaria Classic you probably have some time to listen to us chat about it -- though it seems like the bottlenecks of spawns from the starting experience back in the day have been hotfixed. Back in our day, it took two weeks of complaints, uphill both ways, to get a single tweet acknowledging a bug even exists. Ah, memories. This one has us very nostalgic. Besides Classic, we also chatted a bit about Hacks and Hijinks, the new Overwatch Arcade mode. Joe also got to talk about the new Magic the Gathering crossovers he's been dying to discuss. They just had a huge hit with their Final Fantasy crossover, and have announced one coming soon which features Spider-man, and both those seem very different from what we've seen out of Hasbro in the past.538. And now for even more player housing news
01:02:14||Ep. 538Player Housing was up first in the lineup of topics for this show, because of course it is. Every bit of new info we get, we're excited about -- though Joe is a bit concerned about the concept of leveling up our house. There are a bunch of new appearances to get across a number of franchises, too. Plus, how many legs does a crocolisk have to have in order to be classed as a crocolisk, anyhow? A spirited debate over the new six month subscription incentive ensues. A big thank you to our special guest Six for keeping things interesting.537. Goodbye Warcraft Rumble
01:08:20||Ep. 537Ghosts of K'aresh and its newly announced release date were the first topic in this week's Blizzard Watch Podcast, which is likely to be the final patch for this expansion. Story spoilers weren't shared, but we are excited to find out where we're going next. Our guest host Cory joined us since he's one of our resident Warcraft Rumble experts, and unfortunately that skill set is considerably less in demand since we got word Rumble is in maintenance mode. And it just wouldn't be a Blizzard Watch Podcast without a complaint about monetization these days, but King Krush is so cute, and so expensive, and so gamble-y. Plus, we're all about Summer Games Done Quick and the wacky hijinks those speedrunners get into -- including Blue Prince!
