The Blastfrom Edits - Hard to Earn by Gang Starr
Season 7
•
In 1994, Gang Starr released one of their most celebrated albums. It's still regarded as one of the very best albums of what was arguably the greatest year in the history of rap music. At the time the cassette was the format of choice and that would allow around an hour of audio and most artists were more than happy to fill that up. You've heard the saying 'do more with less' but in this instance we want to do less with more. Once again we try to edit down a beloved album to fit the single disc LP format. Was hard to Earn hard to edit?

Rap Ratings - Will Smith, Redman, KRS-One
42:59||Season 6In this episode we rate three rappers in five categories to arrive at a rating. This is not to be taken entirely seriously but is a fun discussion about Hip Hop's obsession with knowing who is the best in the world.Rather than focussing on the tired conversation of who is the greatest of all time, we take a snapshot of each rapper at a particular point in their career.
