Hayley Coleman "Just be sound"

Season 8, Ep. 4

LISTENER DISCRETION IS ADVISED. Some people may find this podcast difficult to listen to.

This week I sit down with the talented Hayley Coleman, a wedding make up artist based in the west of Ireland. Hayley's honesty and bravery completely blew me away and this episode is going to help so many people.

We talk about Hayley's journey to becoming a successful Wedding MUA but we also talk about some very difficult topics. Hayley was in a serious car accident in 2002 and she shares her story of recovery both mentally and physically, she also talks about the PTSD from the accident and living with survivors guilt. More recently Hayley and her husband are dealing with grief after a miscarriage just before Christmas. Hayley didn't want to share the news on her social media page at the time for fear people would assume she was looking for attention, but today she bravely tells her story in the hope it will remove the stigma around miscarriages and help people to open up more about it.

Never looking to be the center of attention, Hayley is one of the bravest and most inspiring people I've spoken to. It was a honor to host her and I really appreciate Hayley sharing this difficult story with us all.
